My University of Choice: Guelph

http://www.uoguelph.ca/ Stacey Ramsay, a dear friend and summer roommate of mine, once told me that "God can't move a parked car", so I decided to pick a post-secondary intitution and make that my short-term educational goal, without being wishy-washy. I have decided to go to the Unviersity of Guelph with plans to work in Activation or Administration at a sort of rest home. I was accepted into their Bachelor of Applied Science Program in their Early Offers of Admission, and replied to the U of G's offer in mid April. I have been applying for scholarships for what seemed to be left-right-and center for a time. I have applied for 1st year Residence, and would like to stay in the only all-girls dorm on campus. I am also in the midst of registering for my courses now. Please pray that I will get into this dorm, MacDonald Hall.
If you want to check out the building that I hope to be my new room, scroll down to MacDonald Hall on this page, and click on the image link. http://www.housing.uoguelph.ca/page.cfm?group=nav&id=1#

Week End Wedding Planning Fun

This past Easter weekend I was with my sister Larissa and her fiance Darren, doing some planning for their upcoming Wedding. Chuck, Darryn and Larissa's photographer friend and to-be groomsman in their wedding, took us on a photo shoot in dowtown Hamilton - an area withsome lovely architecture! On Saturday the very patient Darren took Larissa and I on a very profitable wedding shopping trip, and to an almost-digustingly-messy-yet-incredibly- delicious homeburger experience at Licks! I got to have Birthday/Holy Saturday dinner with Darryn's family: Doug and Sandra, Lorraine, Chris and Christy, and Cheryl and Paul. As it was Easter, my sister and future brother also took me to various churches: 'Philpott Memorial Chuch', "The Meeting House' (which congregates in a movie theatre!) and 'Church on the Rock'. I got to see the 'Narnia' movie, of which I had been looking forward to for some time, as well.

Out of all the exciting and enjoyable activities of the week-end, what I enjoyed most of all was spending time with Darren and Larissa - a very caring couple who complement each other incredibly. Thank you, Big Almost-Brother and Sister for expanding my horizons and including me on such a special weekend. Below are a few of the pictures from the Photoshoot with Chuck.
